Leek ASC Head Coach

It is with sadness that I write to inform you all that our Head Coach – Rob Bryan – has announced that he is stepping down from the role of Head Coach, a position he has held since Christmas 2015. He will however, not be leaving us but will continue to coach some sessions. I would like to thank Rob on behalf of our swimmers, parents and volunteers for his efforts.

Despite the increasing pressures of his day job, Rob has always devoted himself to the club, the swimmers and training. Since 2015 we have seen County entries rise year on year and the 2020 County Championships will see our largest ever number of swimmers across all age groups and all events. A fine testament to Rob and his team of committed coaches.

We are very lucky to have another Level 2 Coach on our coaching team – Simeon Yates – who has been a coach at Leek ASC for over 10 years, joining the coaches when his own children were in the club. Simeon is also a qualified Level 2 Judge and I am sure many of you have seen him officiating at open meets.

I am delighted therefore to inform everyone that with immediate effect Simeon has accepted the position as our new Head Coach.  I know that you will all join with me in wishing Simeon every success in his new role with Leek Swimming Club.

Best wishes from

Chris McFadden (Chair) & Leek ASC Committee
